Nigeria is on fire. And one of her foremost tragedies is that those who ignited the blazing inferno are not prepared to acknowledge the fact that the country is on fire. Another tragedy is that they have introduced a very treacherous dimension into election rigging. They have turned political elections into a full-blown war against the people who do not agree with them. And in this war, all you need in order to conquer are instruments of terror. You need guns, the army and the police. If the number of the army and the policemen you need is inadequate, you can create your own army and the police simply by placing order for more military and police uniforms. When those uniforms arrive, you put them on a good number of political hoodlums, give them very dangerous guns, and let them loose on the people, in the name of peacekeepers, to terrorize and if possible kill anybody who opposes your deadly ambition to rule the people against their legitimate wish. To keep their skulls, Nigerians have lost the courage to demand their rights in a democratic Nigeria. The author believes that until this dangerous trend is reserved a bleaker future awaits Nigeria.
